so this is the first thing i ever knitted.....just what i needed, another addiction. it took for freakin ever to make this. i put a lot of work into it. i used Caron acrylic yarn. i got the pattern from knitty.com. its worked in a knit2 purl2 pattern. i modified the pattern just a bit by throwing in the second color. my only problem with this sweater is that i didn't realize how stretchy a rib pattern is. i made the sweater in a medium, when i should have made a small
VERY nice! That's worlds better than my first knitted project. I've done much better since then, but still.....that's awesome. Caron makes some good yarns.

Whoa, you STARTED with a sweater?! Geez, my first project was... a pot-holder? I think... and then an afgahn (in other words, yet another rectangle) You rock, and you get bonus points for picking your pattern from knitty.com... very funky and fun site, that. Anyhoo, keep up the good work!
